My father is a Master Photographer with many years experience.
Needless to say, I've been around photography all my life but
just recently have gotten into photography (go figure).
My interests have always fallen into fine art and graphic design.
You do not understand how inspiring it is to see such an
incredibly successful combination of the two.
I am somewhat familiar with some of the techniques that you use
but would like to gather as much information as possible.
I am very interested in trying some of these techniques in an
effort to unite my old love of fine art with my new love of
photography.
The technical side of art can be learned, but the creativity
comes deep from within.
You have an incredible eye for emotion, composition, color,...I
could go on and on.

(which is amazing in itself).
I can only imagine how incredible they would be presented in a

I am obviously very impressed, but I am writing you hoping you
give some advice.
I am a second year photography student who have just entered the
world of transfers and emoulsion-lifts.
My question is, what can I use to protect the transfers and
lifts.
I've tried hair-sray (not suficient enough) and (pastel) fixative
(solves the dyes and make them run).
I would be most grateful for any help from you or any other
person who reads this.

I believe the effect owes most to your photo images, good
framing[cropping], choice of subject, owes less to the transfer
process. But . . . good work!

The feeling is that traditional photography has an ally in modern
techniques not a competitor,

I am very impressed; very nice work. I especially like the way
you blend photopositive colors with other color sources. Have you
tried transfers onto sculpted surfaces, e.g., matt paper dried
over a bowl? A minor suggestion: ... more indirectness with the
cropping might add some energy when you want it.

I find ths subject of direct transfer facinating. I'm a
